So after making a house out of cabinet cards this past week, my eyes wandered over to some tintypes I had sitting on my work table. These had been set aside for a variety of reasons...too many scratches,too dark, subject matter not my favorite, etc. Perfect for a little engineering experiment! I got my drill out, along with a white pen, wire and a bunch of eyelets and here is what happened...
Here are all of the pieces, altered and set up to be drilled for the eyelets...
And here is a close up of this panel...I scratched in to the emulsion to make wings and I just love this baby's expression!
And here it is on my mantle. The box on the left with the winged heart is by Michael DeMeng, the painting is by Lynn Whipple and the pixie on top of the painting is mine!
